It starts with Margaret and her plan: a daily walk, a swap at lunch, a blood pressure check.

She is one of many patients at her GP practice, each with a plan of their own.

Her practice is one of many across the region.

Her region is one small part of the UK.

And the UK is one small part of the world.

Our story

Co-created from day one

Healum was founded by Jonathan Abraham and Anuj Saboo to improve health outcomes and access to care for people with long-term conditions, and to reduce health inequalities through digital innovation.

Co-creation and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We work alongside healthcare professionals and patient support groups to build evidence-based, personalised care that fits real clinical pathways and real lives. The voices of patients are the cornerstone of our work.

Today we work with NHS trusts, GP practices, community services and councils, from Doncaster to south London, and we keep testing what we build: our care planning software and app have been evaluated in a randomised controlled trial in NHS primary care.

How we work

Co-creation in practice

Sticky notes, paper sketches of the app and the conversations behind them, from one of our co-creation workshops.

Caring

Patients are people first. What matters to the person is where every care plan starts.

Open

We design with patients and clinicians, not for them, and work with all who share our aim.

Insight-driven

We measure outcomes, share insight clinicians can act on, and publish what we learn.

Ethical

People act on our advice, so our AI is trained by clinicians and checked for bias.
