Healum was delighted to be invited to exhibit at the Deep Learning in Healthcare Summit in London on 20 and 21 September 2018. The summit focused on advances in healthcare, medical research and diagnostics, and on making healthcare more efficient and accessible. More than 200 people came from across Europe and the USA.

Day 1: medicine meets machine learning

The morning opened with Maithra Raghu from Google Brain on the challenges where the practice of medicine meets machine learning, including how sharply the opinions of highly trained experts can differ, shown with examples of patient image scans.

The afternoon brought workshops on the ethical use of AI, and on data-driven tools for disease prognosis and drug discovery.

Day 2: start-ups and investors

The second day focused on digital health start-ups using artificial intelligence and machine learning. It ended with talks from investors, including Parker Moss and Frederic Lardieg, with advice for young entrepreneurs on raising investment in digital health.

At our stand

Throughout the summit, clinicians and developers came to our stand, interested in the technology and wanting to collaborate.
